Every year we build a limited number of websites free of charge for clubs, non-profit organisations, initiatives and projects that contribute to society.
Whether a new website or a relaunch of an existing homepage: we take care of design and technical implementation. You tell us what makes your project special – you provide the texts yourself or we write them for you.

Who can apply?
The offer is aimed at projects, clubs and organisations that make a positive contribution to society. Formal recognition of non-profit status is not required.
Examples of projects we would like to support:

Non-profit clubs
Sports clubs, music societies, cultural associations and other organisations that rely mainly on volunteers.

Support associations
Support associations of schools, nurseries, fire brigades, libraries and similar institutions.

Foundations and organisations
Smaller organisations and bodies for which a professional website has not been in the budget so far.

Initiatives and neighbourhood projects
Repair cafés, food banks, open workshops, community gardens and local initiatives.

Animal and nature protection
Animal shelters, foster homes, environmental groups and other projects in animal and nature protection.

Self-help groups
Groups and communities that want to provide information and connect people.

Hobby and passion projects
Private projects with social or local value – for example village archives, collections or running groups.

Small shops, farm shops or village cafés that enrich life on site.
New website or free relaunch
We help both with building a new website and with modernising an existing web presence.
We agree the exact scope together. A large scope is not in itself a reason for exclusion.
New website
You do not have a website of your own yet? We design a new web presence to your wishes.
You provide images; the texts you supply yourself or we write them based on your description. We take care of design, technical implementation and optimisation for smartphones, tablets and desktop devices.
Free website relaunch
Your existing website is technically or visually out of date?
We rework your web presence and renew its design and technical foundation. By arrangement, we can take over existing texts and images.
Running costs
Designing and building your website is free of charge. To run it, however, you need hosting and at least one domain with digitalrevier. These services are not part of the free offer and are charged as usual.

Application
Use the application form to tell us about your project and what you want to achieve with your website.

Selection
We review every application personally and get back to you. As the number of free websites is limited, we cannot accept every application.

Content
Once your project has been selected, we need images and the texts – or we write the texts based on your description. For a relaunch, the address of your current website is enough to start with.

Build
We agree the design with you, build the website and publish it.

We may show the finished website as a reference on our own website.

If you are happy with our work, we would be delighted about an honest Google review. Of course, it is not a condition for taking part.
Yes. Design and technical implementation are free of charge for you. Costs only arise for the hosting, the domain and, if needed, email mailboxes. You will find a sample calculation above.
On our own hosting, setting up, running and maintaining the website takes us considerably less effort. That is the only way we can offer the websites free of charge – and help directly with technical questions.
Clubs, initiatives, foundations, organisations and other projects with social or local value can apply. Proof of non-profit status is not required.
Yes. We can also rework an existing website. Simply enter the address of your current website in the application form.
You provide the images. You can supply the texts yourself or have us write them based on your description – you choose this in the application form. For a relaunch, we can take over existing content by arrangement.
We review every application individually. We look in particular at the purpose and the social or local benefit of the project. There is no entitlement to a free website.
You can still apply. Your application will then be considered for the following year's allocation.
We place a small note in the footer of your website and may show the finished web presence as a reference. A Google review is voluntary.
